After thinking for a while I've realized how many things me and Selena have in common. For example how we both set to our dreams and i know that one day i will achieve my dreams. Another thing we have in common is that we don't let anything bring our day down, because we only believe in smiling:). Then again me and Selena have lots of things in which we're different. Selena went trough allot to get to where she was. She went from the girl in the neighborhood of Lake Jackson to the girl in the streets singing to be found. Until she got to the spotlight and that's when she shined bigger than times square! She was a big hit. Although I haven't been through this or think i ever will, the way she's turned into a success is the way i plan to be in the future.

I've personally learned allot from Selena Quintanilla. I've learned that you should always be positive no matter what comes into your life. In her famous quote" I never thought i would come this far, but i'm here" she's taught me and many others to not underestimate yourself and that things come when you least expect it. She's also taught me to think that life is short so that you should enjoy every single moment of it. Selena's music has played a major role in my life but especially my mom's. Selena's music has played a role in my life because Selena's music is usually 'cumbia' which is what we play at parties, and other family events. Her music is recognized in all of my family but like i said especially my mo's. She grew up to her music as a teen. In my future i can still imagine people dancing to her music because that's how great it is. To me her music will be just as important because i guess you can say that i didn't grow up with her but i did grow up with her music which is why it will just as important to me in the future.
